Symbiosis International University (S.I.U) is a private University Situated in Pune, Maharashtra. This is Co-educational, Multi-institutional Deemed University. Symbiosis International University is well known institute for business management. The official recognition from UGC (University Grant Commission) and AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) has been given to university. The main motto of the S.I.U. is “Promoting International Understanding through Quality Education”. S.I. University is accreted with ‘A’ grade from NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). The managing body of the university is Symbiosis Society. Under Padmashree Dr. S.B. Mujumdar the Symbiosis society was established in 1971. By the Ministry of Human Resources Development university was declared its autonomous status in 2002. After deceleration of autonomous status university has opened many institutes. S.I. University has spread over 9 campuses along with 19 Academic Institutions in Pune, Nasik and Bangalore. Mrs. Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar is the first Principal and Director of the Symbiosis Society.
S.I.U. offers various under graduate and post graduate programme in management studies. The campus of the university is fully residential and having recreational facilities like Swimming Pool, Health Care Centers and amphitheaters. S.I.U. also invites guest lecturer from some foreign Universities. The campus of S.I.U. is fully equipped with Wi-Fi connections. University has very good library which is contains nearly about 10,000 books and also has electronic libraries. S.I.U. also knows for the facilities which are provided for the students. University has also agreement with other several American libraries thus student can also access to those libraries. The institute faculties are posse high qualification. S.I.U. also provides good placement facility for the student under the University Campus. University says that more than 70% students are recruited by the Campus Interview and also get good salary packages. In last five years more than 10,000 students of S.I.U. are placed into recognized companies.
