Formerly known as Meerut University, Chaudhary Charan Singh University was established in 1966. It is public type of university which is located in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The university was established to cater the need of higher education in the region of Western Uttar Pradesh. It’s one of the major universities in India and is delivering great success rate since it was established.
The university celebrated its silver jubilee in the year of 1991 with a festival offering many events and seminars providing, education and fun, both to students. The university is established in pollution free campus outside the main city area. It is spread over the large area of 219 acres which also consists of playgrounds and experimental fields, botanical gardens, Rose garden gymnasium, indoor stadium.
University has many facilities for students like a well equipped library, spacious auditorium for seminars, community centers and medical center. There are different teaching departments and for each department you will find separate building which consists of well-equipped laboratories.
