Anna University Examination Results
Anna University is located at Tamil Nadu, Chennai (Madras). Anna University is mainly known for the higher education in Engineering and Technology. University is also known for the providing Applied Sciences education programmes. Anna University is a unitary type of University. This University was established in 1978 and work as a single university till 2007. In 2007 it separates in six different Universities. This separation is done on the basis of regions. These six Universities are as follows: Anna University of Technology which is at Chennai, Anna University of Technology located at Coimbatore, Anna University of Technology situated at Tiruchirappalli, Anna University of Technology from Madurai and Anna University from Tirunelveli.
While starting the name of University was Perarignar Anna University of Technology after few years of establishing in 1982 the word Perarignar is drop down and only Anna University is adopted. The University has brought nearly 250 Engineering collages under the knee. University also has done many Jobs in Tamil Nadu apart from the providing educations. ISRO allows the University to start TV channel for promoting the higher education in entire Tamil Nadu by providing all required equipments for the channel. University has also established Interactive Satellite Terminal under the name of Ku Band, which is the first Satellite Terminal of Tamil Nadu. Ku Band is used for the transmitting live interactive education programs; it also helps for conducting examination in all the collages at the same time who are affiliated to the University.
Anna University also provides many good facilities to the students. Recently University upgrades its campus with Wi-Fi connectivity which is very useful for the students to get instant access. University also collaborated with some software companies for designing some core models for engineering. Tamil Nadu Government is also helps to University. They provide 50 lakh as seed money for the development of University.
