Mumbai University T.Y.B.Com 1st Half March/April 2011 Exam Time Table
The University of Mumbai was founded by Dr John Wilson in 1857 and is modeled on the universities of Britain and primarily imparts education through its affiliated colleges. St. Xavier's College was affiliated with the university in 1868, with Dr John Wilson as its first vice-chancellor. His wife Margaret Bayne Wilson founded 16 schools mainly for girls, famous among the being St Columba High School. Today the university campuses serve as administrative centres and centres for some higher education. The affiliated colleges are spread throughout the city and the four coastal districts of Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg.
