Centres/Institutes Offering Positions
There will be 2 Categories of JRF’s selected: Category A and Category B.
Category A (Top 100 successfull candidates) Fellowship is tenable /can be activated in any University/ Institute in India where the Candidates can register for Ph.D
Category B (Next 150 successfull candidates) Fellowship is tenable exclusively at the 69 DBT-supported teaching centers/departments running DBT-supported masters program and 10 DBT Institutes where the students can register for PhD. (List of centers is displayed below).

Fellowship
Rs. 16,000/- per month for JRF (Rs. 18,000/- per month for SRF) as fellowship + HRA per month as per the host institute + Rs. 30,000/- per year as contingency.

Last date of applying online and printing of completed application form 10th March, 2011
Last date of submission of printout of application form duly completed by post 15th March, 2011
Online publishing of list of eligible candidates and their Seat numbers with centers of Examination 31st March, 2011
Date of Entrance Test 17th April, 2011
Time of Entrance Test 10.00 a.m. - 12.30 p.m.
Date of result announcement online 10th May, 2011
Last Date for request of Award Latter 10th November, 2011
Period for joining programme Within one year from the date of issuing the qualifying award letter.
